# Creating a New Employee

## Fortunately, doing so is relatively easy!

*(Even if you aren't using the importer, which would take care of it for you cough-use-the-importer-cough)*

1. Navigate to your list of all employees.

3. Enter your new employee's information. If a field is mandatory, it will have a \*to the left.

**Wages**

In the "Wage Details" section, in your "Wages" field

- if the employee is paid by the hour, you will enter their hourly wage
- if the employee is paid an annual salary, you will enter their annual salary

**Performance Level**

Even though this is a new employee, the system currently requires a performance level to be entered. You can either enter a 3 for "Meets Expectations" or an even a 0.
