How to Delete a Budget
The idea of deleting a budget may sound unsettling, but it doesn’t have to be! It only takes a few steps and won’t destroy any of your work.
- Only company administrators can access BalancedComp.
- Budgets are essentially containers for multiple scenarios, which is where the real work is done. Deleting a budget simply releases the scenarios back to the Available Scenarios section of the Budget Builder.
- Deleting a Budget does not delete any Scenarios. If you need to delete a scenario, learn how here.
- Click on Budgets in the main nav.
- Click Active Budgets in the subnav. Locate the Budget you wish to delete.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the budget. From the dropdown menu that appears, click Delete.
- Follow the prompts in the modal that appears.
- You have successfully deleted your chosen Budget! The budget's scenarios are now underneath Available Scenarios in the sub-nav.
