Why does a salary adjustment say "Not set yet" for the compa ratio?
In 2025, we started storing historical compa ratios on salary adjustments. When you look at an employee's salary history, if you don't see a compa ratio there, there are 2 other possibilities for what you will see in the compa ratio column.

Not Set Yet
Compa ratios change constantly on active employees: when their position gets regraded, when they change positions, when the new salary ranges come out, when geos get updated, etc. For that reason, we don't set the compa ratio on a salary adjustment until it becomes historical. This means that when you add a new salary adjustment for that employee, we will automatically set their compa ratio at that time on the historical salary adjustment.
Never Set
This feature was not added to the system until 2025. Unfortunately, at that time, we were not able to retroactively and accurately calculate each employee's midpoint when each salary adjustment became historical. So, for salary adjustments that became historical before 2025, you will see "Never Set."
What if I want to set the historical compa ratios myself?
The good news is that you can always go back and enter these compa ratios on the salary adjustment if you wish. We save compa ratio reports for each client before new ranges come out in October. If you submit a support request, we can send you all your historical compa ratio reports!
